Thank you so much. Didn't the animal sacrifice take away sin of one person for a split second before they committed another sin?
Taking Hebrews 10:4 at face value:"For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins."I would say no. Just as communion doesn't save us, doesn't remove our sin, doesn't reset our sin count back to zero. It is faith (and the object of our faith) that saves us and removes sin. But we respond in faith and obedience and those rituals are an enactment of our trust in God.
