I would have to disagree with Mr. Dobson's view here. I am not sure I would go as far as to not vote at all based on the facts. His position and conviction of family values is very respectable, but you have to take the position as a whole. Although the candidates may not hold family values as high standards, you should take all other moral and ethical standards into context and base your decision there. Unfortunately Jesus will never be our president (implying we will never have a perfect president) but to lay your ability to vote aside and allow for example the individual with the least family values I think is a bit irresponsible and somewhat stubborn.
I know God is in control no matter what. That being said, Whomever is voted into office will have a purpose. I will leave it at that.
This is a pretty good website that aligns your views with the best available candidate. I think it puts things in perspective on big issues and lets you know that not voting based on one view could result in other issues not wanted.
Thanks for the link- this is an interesting site that has you choose in a blind poll where you stand on certain issues to see which candidates support them. It takes the emotional element out of the picture. Check it out!
